Making Art with Mathematical Equations, Inequalities and Functions (Mappings, Transformations)
Hi, do you major in math?
Oh. I saw your animations on the GeoGebra forums, and they are quite beautiful. I want to make some myself, but I probably don't understand math enough (or geogebra) for it.
A GeoGebra example of Epitrochoids and Hypotrochoids:http://www.geogebra.org/forum/download/file.php?id=13233&sid=25fe6f018879848d132b7c652eea36f9
I figured out the second one:http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=parametric+plot+%281%2F2+*+sin%28t%29+%2B+1%2F4+*+sin%284*t%29+%2B+1%2F8+*+sin%2814*t%29+%2B+1%2F16+*+sin%2824*t%29+%2B+1%2F32+*+sin%2819*t%29%2C+1%2F2+*+cos%28t%29+%2B+1%2F4+*+cos%284*t%29+%2B+1%2F8+*+cos%2814*t%29+%2B+1%2F16+*+cos%2824*t%29+%2B+1%2F32+*+cos%2819*t%29%29
i was hoping to see the equation...what would be the mathematical representation of this figure.
